When does it make sense to review your home loan?
Your home loan is likely your largest financial commitment. Yet many borrowers set and forget — even as rates change, life circumstances shift, and better products become available.
A loan review makes sense when your fixed rate period is ending, your repayments feel disproportionately high, or you want to access equity for renovations or investment.
Refinancing is not always the right answer. Exit fees, break costs, and the effort of a new application need to be weighed against potential savings. A good broker will calculate the break-even point before you proceed.
Even if you decide to stay with your current lender, a review can reveal product switches or feature changes that improve your position without switching institutions.
